Steven S. Simring, MD, MPH, is a psychiatrist and Senior LEAP faculty member. Dr. Simring is an Associate Professor of clinical psychiatry at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Further, he is an attending physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He has previously served as vice chair for education at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School and director of the Columbia/Cornell residency program in psychiatry and law.

Dr. Simring is an experienced clinical psychiatrist specializing in adult psychiatry with sub-specialty certification in forensic psychiatry. He has testified in over 250 civil and criminal trials.

Although based in New Jersey, Dr. Simring has conducted LEAP trainings around the USA receiving very positive reviews (available upon request).
